How to Subsribe to an RSS Feed
Since this Blog is new and since i've sent out several emails and post at other places inviting folks to read my Blog, i've had a couple of questions about how to use the RSS Feed to get my Blog updates. It's pretty simple to do and after you set it up, depending on how you set it up, you can get updates when i make a new post here on the Blog.
No, RSS doesn't stand for Really Sucky Slaw haha RSS is short for "Rich Site Summary" or "Really Simple Syndication" depending on who you ask, and it's just a format for delivering regularly changing web content. Just about every major news site as well as many other sites use RSS Feeds. What's the benefit? Well if you're like me, you may visit several different websites each day, news sites, blogs etc etc. With the RSS Feed you can setup a reader in different ways and go to one place to get your updates. That way you don't have to go to each individual page each time to see if anything new is there.
Click on that button and it'll take you to a screen that will allow you to subscribe to my RSS Feed. DO IT! NOW! Just follow directions and when you get done, you'll get an update every time i post on this wonderful Blog of mine! Won't that be exciting?

UPDATE You can also click on the little bookmark icon at the bottom of each post and it'll give you all the options to save my blog that you ever dreamed of!!

does RSS really mean really sucky slaw…. with no cabbage?

I know when I went to subscribe yesterday I clicked on the button and my only option was to use the one where it stores it by my “favorites” … sorry don’t know the name. I like to have my RSS feeds come onto my iGoogle since that’s my homepage and whenever I start up a new browser I can see what everyone’s posted. Can you add those buttons that are all icons with Google, Yahoo, and such? I think I did it through my Feedburner.

I’m with big sis, I don’t know what RSS is either. If she feels dumb, then I have no hope! you two are the computer brains. I can barely do anything. I think I’ll stick with making comments.
