Sending some love…

10 September 2008 One Comment

Wow, to say this has been a crazy couple of months is the understatement of the year!  Last month my grandson was born and along with that, birthdays, work got completely nuts and just daily life made things really crazy at times.

Move forward to September, even crazier. Our company is going through a HUGE conversion and i'm having to deal with vendors all across the country, trying to get work scheduled and dealing with all the mess that comes along with that.

Yeah my days are crazy but there's one person that is basically my LIFE. She's my best friend and soul mate! As much as my days have been nuts and crazy, Misty, i don't see how you do it love!

I've said before Misty is a 3rd grade teacher. That in itself is a tremendous job! Can you imagine spending all day with 18 to 20 kids? Try it sometime! On top of that, Misty had decided she wanted to get her Master's degree. I HIGHLY commend her for that! Misty is so smart and talented and loves her job and her kids. She gets so excited working with the kids.

Misty's day starts at 5:30 am, getting up and getting all her stuff together. School is out around 2:30 i think but she always ends up working until 5:00 sometimes, getting stuff finished up, caught up and getting prepared for the next day. Along with that, she's on different committees and does other tasks for the school. Plus there's the stress of dealing with kids and parents and all that goes along with that. Even if you love your job, there can be an amount of stress that makes the day a long day!

Now Misty's ready to go home, but instead of coming home and kicking back and relaxing for the evening, she's back on her laptop, grading papers, doing paperwork, everything that HAS to be done. She still finds time to cook supper for me at times, (we always work together as much as possible) then there's all the other house chores that we try and work together to get done.

Now let's throw college in the mix, yeah only 2 nights a week, but those two days, she's up at 5:30 and gets home about 8:00 to 9:00 and still has other stuff to do. Now add all the college work, homework and projects to her "normal" life of being a teacher. Now throw in everyday life, having to deal with things that come up every month, birthdays etc etc...

I just want to say this.... Misty i am sooooo proud of you and i love you so much! The task you have taken on is hard and some days it will be tough. But know this, i will always do everything in my power to make each day better in some way. I love being able to give you those massages and foot rubs and help with things around the house. You amaze me and all your hard work will pay off!

I am the luckiest man alive! To have such a wonderful best friend with such a giving heart like Misty, i can't begin to express how much she means to me!

I love you Angel!
