Well, it's Sunday after lunch and i thought i'd throw some thoughts, info and a few other things out there for you all...   I could probably write several different posts on all this but i'm gonna try and cram it all together!

Our Weekend

Man we're having a really good weekend!  Friday Misty came home and had a surprise for me... a nice, thoughtful card that was really sweet... AND she bought me the AC/DC Live: Rock Band Track Pack for the Xbox 360! Friday night we went out to one of our favorite places to eat, Monte De Ray, and then went to the movies to see The Unborn.  Freaky movie ya'll!  It was pretty good and we had a great time out... HOWEVER, i do want to rant about one thing that really pisses me off!

When we got there, there weren't many people in the theater yet, but that soon changed.  The place started filling up and by movie time it was pretty full.  Just before the movie started, the lady came in and got everyone's attention and gave the little speech about using your cell phone DURING THE MOVIE!  Evidently that night was get in free night for EFFING DEAF PEOPLE because during and after her speech, you could see cell phones lighting up everywhere... i mean give me a BREAK!  How damn bad is it when you can't sit for 1 and 1/2 hours and NOT talk or text on your cell phone and distract everyone around you?  I think i'm going to start taking my taser and walking up to these people and shocking the shit out of them and when they regain consciousness, ask them what the hell the problem is with using the cell phone while i just paid 16 bucks for us to watch this movie!  Other than that, there was a constant flow of people getting up to go out and do whatever they were doing...  to me it was just ridiculous for all the distractions we had to put up with to watch a movie... don't get me wrong, we did have a good time and enjoyed it...  So if you're one of those that can't sit still during a movie and use your cell phone during a movie... YOU SUCK!  Anyone else have any thoughts on this?  Feel free to share!

Ok, back to our weekend! haha..  we have had a great weekend and went and spent some time with Misty's family Saturday night for a while... that was very nice and fun.  Today we did the Walmart thing and went out for our usual Sunday morning breakfast and just gonna chill today and hopefully check out that AC/DC game and maybe take a Sunday ride after while!  Sounds fun huh?

Weight Loss

In a recent post, Goodbye 2008 - What Will 2009 Bring?, I wrote about how i needed to lose these extra pounds i've gained over the holidays... yeah that's something on quite a few peoples list huh?  One thing about it though, MISTY AND I ARE IN THE GROOVE!  Yeah it took me about 3 days to detox from all the sugar i had been consuming over the past few months... but after that it's just a mind set of eating right and portion control.  Misty has been following her Weight Watchers program and i'm following Misty haha.. Seriously, the great thing about Weight Watchers is you can eat whatever you want, it teaches you HOW to eat and gets you in a routine of doing what you're SUPPOSE to do which is eat good foods, and control your portions!  Man, i started eating right again Monday the 5th and here it is 6 days later and i've already lost 6 pounds!  FEELS GREAT!  So i've already met my goal to lose 5 pounds and now i will set another goal to lose 5 more and it won't be long at all until i'm where i need/want to be!

Hey, if you are serious about it, just do it.  There's no magic formula or diet that's gonna work folks.. it's a way of life!  Eat to live, don't live to eat!  That's what Misty loves about Weight Watchers and i like their concept too... they teach you how to eat and it's all about portion control and enjoying your food!  If you wanna check it out, they're doing a new Weight Watchers Momentum program, so just click the link and know this... it DOES work!

Obese Americans now outweigh the merely overweight

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The number of obese American adults outweighs the number of those who are merely overweight, according to the latest statistics from the federal government.

Numbers posted by the National Center for Health Statistics show that more than 34 percent of Americans are obese, compared to 32.7 percent who are overweight. It said just under 6 percent are "extremely" obese.  Click here to read the rest of this article

    Cell phones at the movies ~ hate them! I leave mine on … but on vibrate … I highly doubt that my kids would have an emergence … and what are the odds that I’d actually check it to know they’re having an emergency … but I feel better that it’s on I guess … but would NEVER use it during a movie … even due to the light it puts out in the dark – geez!

    As for the weight … I am on a get healthy/lose weight thing … I’ve set out to lose 21 lbs and I’ve lost 5 lbs (I also started on Jan 5th along with the rest of the universe) … I’m also doing the Slim in 6 video workout … suppose to totally transform your body in 6 weeks (do the video 6 days a week). It’s a great way to start my day and so far I enjoy it … let’s talk again in a couple of weeks LOL

    As for in the box … oh … oh … pick me! Pick me! I know … I think … but I’ll just leave that alone for now. LOL.

    Glad to hear life is treating you well … are you both healthy now? My allergies are doing a bit better … but still disgusting! *SmiLes* Suzanne

    @ laura ~ I have that happen often with comments! I’m now in the habit (usually) of doing a quick “copy” command of the whole comment … just in case LOL

    @ Suzanne – Yeah, i would say the younger generation is very disrepectful but it was the older people doing it as well haha.. I leave mine on vibrate too.. but like i said.. why somebody comes to the movies and sits there and txts for 45 minutes is beyond me??

    CONGRATS on the workout stuff.. i’ve never heard of the slim in 6? AND, working out is yet to happen.. i’m such a lazy butt.. but i’ll get there! Mind over matter!

    We still have a little cough and some stuffiness but way better than it was! Thanks for asking! Hope the cedar sniffing has calmed down for you haha!

    @ Laura – yeah don’t ya hate it when you write a nice long comment or just any comment and it goes off to neverland? ha! Well, not donuts, 1/2 a donut hahaha, i ate the rest!

    @ Suzanne – Man, when i was doing the atkins thing a few years ago, you could have changed my last name to “atkins bar” i ate so many of those! They’re actually pretty good!

    Yeah, the bars are good and so are the shakes. I do a shake for breakfast and a bar late morning – another shake late afternoon … and then a mostly reasonable dinner. I’ve lost 6 lbs even though I cheated some this weekend … so I’m happy with the results so far. The best/fastest results I’ve ever had were on Isagenix products (nutritional cleanse) where I’ll lose like 11 lbs in the first 9 days and feel great … but it’s expensive and I wanted to try it the way that I might stick to this time.

    Day 6 of my video – that’s a long time to stick to something like this for me ;) and I have 5 weeks to go …

    Cool! Well you can do it.. it’s never easy to get into that groove, but when you do.. it’s just a way of life like anything else!
