Duke Basketball – 2009 ACC Champs – Time To Crow A Little
I have a category here at JakeCpuNut for Duke Basketball, and even though I haven't gotten to post about DOOK as much as I've wanted to because of being so busy... I am a HUGE Duke fan, as you can see from the picture on the left haha! Now I'm not one to get in somebody's face and talk smack.. WHY? Because for one, I learned a long time ago that it always comes back to haunt you! Ummmm take note UNC fans!
I always try and let the game speak for itself, I show my pride by wearing my Duke gear, congratulating the other teams when they win and/or play well. Do I get excited? HELL YEAH! My stomach gets tied in knots and I get chills watching Duke play because I love the game and the Blue Devils so much!
Throughout this 2008-2009 season, Duke has had some ups and downs. It's a known fact that Duke lives and dies by the 3 ball. Today in the ACC Championship, the 3 ball was definitely dropping! For Duke to have the winning seasons and records they have year after year, relying quite a bit on three pointers, to me speaks quite a bit about their talent and coaching staff.

Almost everyone had picked the almighty UNC to win the ACC tourney this year... and I'm already hearing it... well we didn't have Ty Lawson... well wah wah wah hahah. But just to show you that we Duke fans have class, I agree Ty would have made a difference BUT, your so called all American superstar Tyler Hansbrough along with his team mates, SHOULD have stepped up to the plate, IF they are that good! Enough about UNC....
Today Duke took control early against Florida State and yes the 3 ball was in their favor, but they also had some inside presence against Florida State's big men! Dukes defense was also outstanding! Of course Florida State made a run and made a game of it, but Duke stood strong and came out with a victory and was crowned 2009 ACC Tournament Champions!

As well as John Scheyer, Kyle Singer and Gerald Henderson (who has been of fire) have played, in my opinion David McClure's impact defensively and his timely rebounds makes him my choice for the 2009 ACC Tournament MVP. It's always the things that go unnoticed, that make a huge difference in the outcome of the game! But John Scheyer winning the MVP spot was well deserved!
So congratulations to the Duke Blue Devils, 2009 ACC Tournament Champions! Very proud to be a Blue Devil Fan!
This post makes me want to up-chuck. Let me remind you that your DOOKIES sucked against the almighty UNC.

Man I guess you are as die hard fan to Duke as I am to Steelers, btw, did you know they had become the number one team in the whole NFL history? lol.
I cannot see Lebron James in the pics, ooops, this is not NBA players and even less Cleveland, my mistake, lol.
I am not too much into Basketball outside the NBA, but good for your team.
