Beer – Wedding Update – Stanky Leg
What up folks... Finally getting some, or I guess I should say TAKING some time to write a blog post.. Sooo much going on in our world these days! Not just work but play as well... Other than the onslaught of pollen we've had, it has been absolutely GORGEOUS weather here in the NC foothills for a couple of weeks now!
Home Brewing is Going GREAT!
It's been just over 5 months since I started home brewing and I'll have to say it's one of the funnest hobbies I've been involved in. Since I started drinking craft brews last year and then started making my own, it's been a great experience and learning adventure! I don't drink a lot of beer, but when I do I really enjoy drinking something JAKE made! I think I have my 7 batch going now which is an Irish Red, and I'm very excited about it! I also have a Cream Ale and a Honey Weizen to make! Both of those should make great lawn mower beers!
I REALLY need to get my butt in gear and start making a mash tun and work toward partial mashes and eventually all grain brewing! CAN'T WAIT!
Also, a bit back when I made the Nut Brown Ale (which turned out AWESOME), I did a video of the process and it's been on YouTube for a bit, but I never posted it here at the blog, so if you haven't seen it you can check that out below. 2 parts!

The Wedding is Coming Together!
Wow, at the time of this blog post, in 41 days I will be marrying my best friend! The emotions that I feel about our upcoming wedding and honeymoon are indescribable! Misty has been working her ass off and I'm so amazed at how she's taking care of so many things. More about that in the video below. I soo hope the weather is beautiful that day, which is really the only thing I'm concerned about. I know everything else will fall into place but what mother nature brings us that day is something we just have to wait and hope for hahaha.
Last Thursday it was a rainy evening so I decided to brew my Red Ale and did a short video and talked a little bit about the wedding.
Soooo, check out the video and be sure to watching the ending hahaha... We always have a BLAST with our friends and when 4 white boys try to bust a move, well you know we're having a good time!

LOVE it! I appreciate the shout out. Thanks for putting up with an overworked, underpaid, grad school student who happens to be a stressed out bride too, hehe. I can’t wait to be your wifey! wOw, May 22 is so close! I love you and yo’ stanky leg. =o)

Although I had the nut brown ale at its infancy I have to agree that it was AWESOME. Anyway, whats up jeff? Its taken me a while to finally look this site up but I’ve finally done it. I think I will be placing my brew kit order in a few days and home to have my first brew day in a couple weeks. By the way, thanks again for the bottles. Keep in touch!
Daniel (you know, Jills husband)
PS. DJ doing the “Skanky leg”(whatever its called) is nothing compared to DJ as Chewbacca.

Now you better not be thinking for a second that ol’ boy blue from the nasty north has gone and forgotten about his main man!
Glad to hear things are going well!
We most definitely need to touch base sometime in the near future. I’m going be to re-designing TheAtHomeCouple.com this summer and would love some input.
How much for some home brew to be sent my way?

What is up E to the Lijah!! Dude, the last couple of months have been stupid crazy.. had a death in the family, got married, went to Mexico! Crazy stuff goin on! Of course you can see my blog has taken the low road for a while but I need to get back at it soon!
Man I’m working on the beer! My last batch was a Irish Red that was kind of disappointing! I’m getting ready to step up to partial mashes and as soon as I get it dialed in, I’ll get you some up there!
Look forward to getting with you and seeing the updates on your site!
